Commercial & Industrial Floor Coatings

Commercial Epoxy & Industrial Floor Coatings

1. UPC – Urethane Polymer Concrete

  • Urethane Concrete or Urethane Cement, is the most expensive option, but it’s also the best. Often refereed to as the national gold standard in the concrete coating / concrete restoration world. It is a 3-part industrial concrete floor coating that utilizes urethane resin technology to bind engineered cement powder and aggregate powders. It creates a high-performance floor surface for the harshest environmental conditions. It is especially good where thermal cycling is present / thermal shock. These industrial concrete floor coatings and toppings exhibit excellent resistance to staining, chemical exposure, impacts, and abrasion. It can withstand high-pressure power washing and will outlive epoxy, tile, VCT, and concrete systems even in tough industrial settings. Because Urethane concrete systems are ideal for use in areas subject to rapid thermal cycling from hot and cold water wash downs, it’s especially popular in food and beverage processing facilities and pharmaceutical production areas. Other common applications are refrigerator and freezer walk-ins, breweries, bars, restaurants, bathrooms, and locker rooms. Keep in mind this will raise the height of your floor by a minimum 1/4 inch.

  • Meets USDA, FDA, EPA, SCAQMD, and VOC requirements

  • Up to 1 inch thick

2. Quarts -Colored Quarts Flooring

  • Colored Quartz floor coating utilizes epoxy, urethane, and quartz sand to achieve a very beautiful finish that is durable, highly impact resistant, and slip resistant.

  • Commonly used around pool decking, driveways, patios, and walkways. But can be used anywhere to create a durable surface that has lots of traction while still being cleanable and beautiful. Its also one of the most impact resistance concrete coating options and has very natural look that’s especially suited for outdoors.

  • Meets USDA, FDA, EPA, SCAQMD, and VOC requirements

  • Up to 3/8 thick

3. Epoxy Polyaspartic

  • It’s hard to beat a professionally installed Epoxy Polyaspartic floor coating. For many commercial and industrial settings this concrete coating system will do well. A properly installed epoxy floor can last decades depending on the environment. They are easy to clean, resist staining, tolerant of most chemical exposures, and look beautiful.

4. Grind and Seal

  • A grind and seal floor service is a great system for concrete when you need an economical solution that will eliminate concrete dusting and seal the floor to make it easier to clean and resist stains.

  • Our 100% acrylic sealer is a more superior product than our competition with its self cross-linking and nano-polymer technology. It will help protect the substrate from water, staining, abrasion, and concrete dusting. It exceeds the performance of conventional waterborne acrylics dispersions through its proprietary crosslinking chemistry. The crosslinking occurs after application during the drying process, and produces a tighter, stronger film that shows increased resistance to blocking, water-spotting, water blushing, staining, and wear. This increased performance makes the product ideal for use in the protection of horizontal substrates such as flooring, decking and concrete.

  • Most commonly used in large “general use” warehouses when you have thousands of square feet and you’re on a budget but still need a quality solution.

  • This system is not for facilities / floors that require the highest level of chemical resistance to things like acetone, gasoline, and heavy degreasers / cleaners. However, in testing, it showed impressive “no affect” results when exposed to ketchup, grape juice, vinegar, soy sauce, wine, cough syrup, and 409 cleaner, and even hot tires from vehicles.

4. Cove Base

  • A cove base turns the 90 degree angle where the wall meets the floor, to a curved radius of 3/8. It makes cleaning around the perimeter exceptionally easy. In California, it is also required per the Health Department.

  • The California Retail Food Code (CalCode) Section 114268 states: Except in sales areas and as otherwise specified in subdivision, the floor surfaces in all areas in which food is prepared, prepackaged, or stored, where any utensil is washed, where refuse or garbage is stored, where janitorial facilities are located in all toilet and hand washing areas shall be smooth and of durable construction, and nonabsorbent material that is easily cleanable. Floor surfaces shall be a cove at the juncture of the floor and wall with a 3/8 inch minimum radius cove and shall extend up the wall at least 4 inches.

  • Commonly used in commercial kitchens, breweries, bars, mortuary’s, hospitals, bathrooms, locker rooms, and manufacturing plants

  • Meets USDA, FDA, EPA, SCAQMD, and VOC requirements.
