Epoxy Flooring Upgrades

Front Driveway Joint – Often times in older homes, the joint that separates the driveway and the garage floor is filled with a fiberboard insert (sometimes called felt). It’s often rotted out and generally unpleasant looking. We offer an upgrade service to remove the old joint filler and replace it with an elegant self leveling poly sealant. ($300)

Lifetime Warranty Upgrade – Our standard Warranty is 10 years, however we offer a Lifetime Warranty as well. ($1.00 sqf)

Showroom Glass Coat – For customers who want that extra WOW factor, we offer a showroom glass coat for the final clear coat top coat that is jaw dropping. This is by far our most popular upgrade next to our lifetime warranty, and is also why many of the pictures you see of our floors look so different then our competitors. ($1.50 sqf)

Ceramic Protective Coating – Our Ceramic Protective Coating has 2 major advantages. It gives you extra protection against stains, scuffs, and scratches. It also creates a maintainable surface that can be buffed back to a mirror finished years later. This upgrade is most popular when combined with the glass coat upgrade, but is great for any floor. ($1 sqf)

Slip Resistant Coating – These floor coating systems have great traction when they are dry, however when wet they are very slippery to walk on. We offer anti-skid additive to create better traction ($300)

Expansion Joint Filler – You’ll notice in almost all garages there are joints that typically break up the garage into 4 squares or more. Some customers opt to have them filled for 3 reasons. For one, its just a beautiful look. Secondly, it’s one less area you have to clean dirt and debris out of. Thirdly, for those who are rolling anything across the garage floor with smaller wheels, those wheels tend to get caught in the joint, and in some cases, break the wheel off. Something as basic as a garage shop vacuum is a great example. As you pull the vacuum across the floor, the wheels will get jammed up in the joint, and the vacuum will fall over or break the plastic wheels. A VERY IMPORTANT NOTE on filling expansion joints. In most cases the joints are filled incorrectly, even by contractors who mean well. The most common materiel used, is concrete or a concrete based patching compound. This is the WORST product to use. It will 100% crack, and ultimately fail in just a matter of months. Expansion joints move from thermal expansion and contraction, therefore a very specialized material must be used. A product designed specifically for “moving joints” that is both rigid like concrete, but flexible enough to move with the joint. The joint itself must also be scored and prepped properly before being filled. We are certified by both Sika & Metzger McGuire on proper expansion joint fillers. We’re also the only company in San Diego who guarantees our expansion joint filling service ($10 Linear Foot)

Cove Base – Adding a cove base to the perimeter of the floor is a beautiful upgrade that also tremendously improves cleanability. A cove base eliminates the 90 degree angle where the wall meets the floor and turns it into a curved radius of 30 degrees. This eliminates dirt, grime, and debris from getting stuck in corners. ($20 Linear Foot)

Vinyl Wall Base / Base Boards – Even with an epoxy floor install, the transition of where the wall meets the stemwall or floor, can be inconsistent. This is mainly due to the original drywall and paint install from the builder. Vinyl wall base / base boards conceal this transition and also adds a beautiful solid color accent to the floor.
